We recently made the decision to replace our beloved trailer, which we bought at Western RV 10 years ago. From our initial contact with Keith he was professional, listened to what we wanted and was very upfront and easy to deal with. Different from other dealers we visited in our search, they did not try to upsell us to a larger unit and worked with our schedule for orientation and pickup. I would not hesitate to recommend Keith to my closest friends.
Called to chat with a sales guy about purchasing a trailer today. Guy didn't even tell me his name. Told me he didn't have the trailer I was after, offered up other trailers I wasn't interested in. I declined and said I was fairly set on one floor plan in specific. Said he'd check other dealerships then tried to get my phone number twice after I said I'd call back. Starting off a sales conversation without giving me his name already made my mind up. Even when I said I'd call back he didn't mention his name so I had someone to contact. I'd never purchase from someone that lackluster. I'll happily go elsewhere.
Everyone we dealt with was super friendly and helpful. We were first-time buyers but we knew exactly what we were looking for. The team at Western RV Country, Leduc went out of their way staying late so we could take an initial look at the trailer. The walk through was completely worth every penny paid. Terri was fantastic to deal with. Being a used trailer, it was missing a light cover that Western didn't have in stock so, Dennis offered us a awning mat instead of waiting for them to find a cover. We quickly agreed. Dennis also included a ton of extras with our purchase - including the hitch (ball), water hose, an adapter for 15 amp, water pressure regulator, etc. I love that I can go to any of their dealerships or sister dealerships and get 10% off of my purchases and service.
If you're considering purchasing from Western, make sure you check out their horrible Service Dept before you buy. Of course the sales people are going to be nice to you - they want you to buy. But when it comes to looking after you once they have your dollars, it's a completely different story! I have had to deal with them twice and they do not care to service products that they sell. A few years ago, I had a fridge recall (fridges started on FIRE!) on a trailer I bought from them, they told me they wouldn't look at it even though it was within the warranty period and it would be better to go somewhere else! (Which I did and received good service there, completely unlike Western)When I purchased a trailer at a different dealer, out of province, but of a brand that Western does carry, and is contractually obligated to service, the Service Manager rudely said they "look after their own customers first" (which in my past experience, they don't) and they wouldn't even make an appointment for sometime in the future when all their own customers are "looked after". Then he HUNG UP THE PHONE!! REAL PROFESSIONAL... In my opinion, it would be better to deal with a company that cares to service what they sell and that can act appropriately because this one cannot.
