Attended this morning to ask advice and medication to treat a minor condition. Was seen by a doctor called Amen Fateis.I told him my condition briefly and that I was requesting a medication I had used before that had worked. To my great surprise, he was very accusatory and confrontational at first, basically insinuating I wasn't honest with the receptionist in my answers to her. That I was not there to simply ask advice. I had told the receptionist I wished to see a doctor for advice. The receptionist had then enquired if I was seeking medications for anxiety and some other ailments. I simply repeated that I would like to ask the doctor some questions. I had no desire to discuss my condition in a non-private setting of the waiting room.The doctor did issue the medication I requested and was a little friendlier after, but that initial exchange left a bad taste in my mouth frankly. He didn't ask any follow up questions or offer to give me a quick exam. Didn't seem very thorough at all. The pharmacy staff were very nice but regardless of that, I won't be using this centre again.
I came in at 9 am for open, there were 2 people ahead of me, the receptionist let me know the doctor comes in at 930. At 9:50 the receptionist took a call and let us know the doctor was on his way. Saw the doc by 10:30, he gave me a prescription. Went to the pharmacy and found out I couldn't take the prescription he gave me. I had put the information he needed on the intake form but I guess he didn't read it. Overall it's a nice clean facility, and the receptionist and pharamcy girls were great. I thought the wait was a bit crazy, why open at 9 if the one person you need to see didn't come in until later and on his own schedule no less? A bit unprofessional in my opinion. A decent option for a walk in clinic, but I would definitely try another before coming back.
This pharmacy went above and beyond looking after me today. It is so nice having real customer service. Thanks to all that helped me.
All they are there for is to make money. Try to charge you for every thing they say is not covered by Alberta Health care when it is. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Nothing but a profit organisation!!!!
