This is my first time ever leaving a review because it was such a good experience it felt necessary! I didnt catch the name of the lady helping me out today but she was amazing! We laughed and made jokes and it made the whole experience so much more fun. Shout out to who ever is hiring their workers because they definitely know what theyre doing!
I've had mixed experiences with this registries location depending on who's on shift, however, in general, if your ID or licence is current you shouldn't have to jump through too many hoops to get things done here. Be prepared to have to jump through a million and a half seemingly impossible hoops if your licence or ID is expired, though... hoops that may not have been explained thoroughly on your first visit. I've also taken a road test here, and if I could rate the tester independantly I'd give him 5 stars; hes stern but knows what hes doing. (Exactly the qualities I believe a tester needs.) He took the time to explain in depth errors that were made and ensure that they are remembered rather than blown off. (I learned a few things from him that I didnt in drivers training, even.) If you're confident that you deserve to be driving on Alberta roads and you want a testing ground that will actually put that to the test rather than just hand you a free licence, this is a good guy to stop by at. Know your stuff and drive in a safe manner and you'll do fine. Spoiler: if you've been taught certain routes he "should" take you through, you'll probably be surprised when you go totally off course. Be ready for anything.
The staff is good and helpful but there are some really bad things about this registry. Firstly if you use your credit card there for payment they charge you extra fees which I have no clue about and they dont even tell, secondly I booked my road test about 1 and half month before my test and they didnt let me decide the time and gave me the test timing for 9am which is their opening time so that they can book other people like the way they want and that is beneficial for them and not giving a damn about the person time. Thirdly, they have only one examiner and he is really strict and will try his best to fail the person, I failed my test on the first attempt and booked another test there right after failing the test and I was getting the date to take the test next day which really conclude my second point and when I went back to give test the examiner told me that you should not be taking the test because you failed it recently and tried to made me feel unconfident and gave me warning as well that he would not allow me to take test there for next 7 days If I would fail. I got really disappointed with that like someone is there to take their test and you are just trying to make them feel bad but I passed it as his conversation really didnt bother me much and he did his best to take me to the most hardest area of the leduc but I was focused and passed it. I would highly recommend to everyone please dont take your road test in this registry as there are 95% chance that you will end up failing it.
Went in around 1:00pm on a Monday to get a Driver's Abstract. Took about 3 minutes and cost about $25. The lady helping me was friendly and easy to deal with. Note: there's a 3.25% charge to pay with credit card.
Im so impressed by the amazing service I had at leduc registries! Going in everyone working there was friendly and greeted me right away. I let someone go ahead of me just so I could wait a little longer to get Norma as the person to help me. I honestly have to say she is the best. Im from sylvan and have never been helped out as much as I was in Leduc. She explained a lot to me that has to do with getting a new ID and license plate, she really does out of her way to make sure you have a great experience and have everything you need . We also had some good laughs. I will always be going back to her!! Thank you !!
